Tuesday 8th December 2015

The Scottish Youth Parliament is the democratically elected voice of Scotland’s young people. They listen to the views of young people and campaign to effect the change they wish to see.

Through the ‘Lead the Way’ consultation, young people aged 12-25 have the opportunity to have their say on issues that matter to them. The results of this consultation will inform SYP’s 2016-2021 youth manifesto, and will shape their work over the next five years.

This is a great opportunity for girls and young women across Edinburgh to have their say in issues that young people have told us matter, and to influence changes for all of Scotland’s young people.  If you, or any of your unit members, would like to get involved, you can take part in the consultation online here. The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete.

SYP’s Youth Engagement team are also available to run workshops on democracy, rights and citizenship with Guide and Senior Section units, and can provide paper copies of the consultation survey.  For more information, please contact Rhiannon or Hannah at engagement@syp.org.uk.
